AMSOIL Synthetic EP Grease is formulated with high-viscosity ISO 460synthetic base oils and a sophisticated additive package, providing an effective protection system that helps reduce wear and prevent damage. Its advanced extreme-pressure additives provide superior protection and performance in shock-loading applications that can rupture the oil film of conventional greases and lead to damaging metal-to-metal contact. AMSOIL Synthetic EP Grease resists water and protects against corrosion and oxidation that can destroy critical components and lead to equipment failure.

AMSOIL Off-Road Grease’s exclusive synthetic polymeric technology provides exceptional adhesion (ability to cling to components) and cohesion (ability to cling to itself) properties. It is engineered to resist impact better than other greases in heavily loaded, extreme-pressure applications and stay in place longer, providing outstanding lubrication over extended service intervals and reducing the detrimental effects of missed grease intervals.

Application Recommendations

AMSOIL Synthetic EP Grease helps solve problems associated with leaky gearboxes and difficult-to-service applications in commercial and fleet markets. It is primarily used in grease-filled cases where conventional greases do not provide adequate lubricant life or protection. AMSOIL Synthetic EP Grease is the primary type of grease recommended for truck wheel hubs as outlined in RP 631B, issued by The Technical and Maintenance Council of the American Trucking Association. COMPATIBILITY

AMSOIL Synthetic EP Grease is compatible with many other types of grease. However, it is recommended that when changing grease, the equipment be cleaned of the old grease when possible or flushed with a liberal amount of AMSOIL Synthetic EP Grease while the mechanism is in operation. Closely monitor the system for any inconsistencies. Grease compatibility questions should be referred to your AMSOIL representative or AMSOIL INC.

GREASE STORAGE AND HANDLING

Grease should always be stored in a cool, dry area with temperatures above freezing but below 80°F. Store grease in the original container in an upright position and avoid direct sunlight. During long periods of storage, grease may exhibit a slight change in appearance.
