Diesel engines operate best on fuel with cetane values of 50 or higher. Most diesel fuel sold in North America has a cetane value of 40-45. AMSOIL Cetane Boost is recommended for use in all types of heavy- and light-duty, on and off-road and marine diesel engines. Best performance is achieved when used with every tank of fuel. Excellent for use with ultra-low-sulfur diesel fuel (ULSD). Compatible with biodiesel and all types of exhaust emission systems, including diesel particulate filters (DPFs). Follow the chart below.
